Frequently asked questions
Once you complete the Candidate Intake form, you’ll be prompted to provide the information needed to prepare your CFA-1. Our compliance team then reviews the CFA-1 for accuracy. While that review is underway, you’ll be directed to complete the third-party designee form, which authorizes us to obtain an Employer Identification Number (EIN) on your behalf. EINs are required by the IRS for all political committees and are necessary to open your campaign’s bank account.
With the Paid Compliance package, your fully prepared and e-signed CFA-1 and your official EIN are delivered digitally within five (5) business days. If needed, our Expedited Service guarantees delivery within 24 hours for an additional fee.
Filing location and methods vary by the office you're seeking. We maintain a verified database of filing instructions for every county election board in Indiana, including mailing addresses, accepted submission methods and contact details.
Open a campaign bank account. You must open a dedicated bank account for your committee using your committee name and the EIN we provide you.
